An affidavit has to be signed by a employee, when company/organisation provide the accommodation. In this article, we will discuss reasons of providing accommodation, draft of affidavit and rates of stamp duty.
Companies may provide accommodation to their employees for various reasons, including:
- Attraction and Retention of Talent: Offering lodgings as a perk might be a strong incentive for potential employees. It helps firms attract and retain top talent, especially in highly competitive industries or locations where it could be challenging to find suitable housing.
- Employee Satisfaction and Well-being: The comfort and overall well being of employees are improved by the accommodations provided by a organisation/company. It ensures that employees have access to safe and comfortable housing, which reduces stress and enhances work-life balance.
- Convenience and Productivity: By offering accommodation near or within a tolerable commuting distance of the place of employment, employers can reduce the amount of time that employees spend travelling and the accompanying expenditures. This convenience can increase productivity and improve job satisfaction.
- Employee Mobility: Giving employees accommodations when they have to move for work can make the transition easier and lessen the logistical hassles of looking for homes in a new place. It encourages employee readiness to accept job transfers and fosters internal mobility inside the organisation.
- Employee Safety and Security: Measures to safeguard the security and safety of employees are frequently included in accommodations given by the employer. This might include gated communities, security guards, or adherence to certain safety standards, giving workers and their families peace of mind.
- Cost Savings: For companies, providing lodging that is given by the firm under specific conditions may be a more affordable option. Group rental agreements or property ownership may result in cheaper housing expenses than individual employee rentals or housing allowances.
- Enhanced Employee Engagement: Living near to coworkers may promote a feeling of community and improve teamwork among employees. It may foster cooperation, foster a positive work atmosphere, and strengthen a sense of belonging inside the company.
It’s important to note that different businesses could provide different accommodations depending on their rules, available resources, and unique company needs.
